May

Well, I have to say May, yes the whole month, pretty well sucked. It's been too busy for much of anything personal.

First of all, that lymph node thing/cat scratch disease-well she had to go in the hospital and they put her under and drained it. That was a few weeks ago and she still has this big hole in her neck. At least most of the swelling is gone now. And the thing is scabbing over. And she has felt ok, and has been able to play in all of her games(except that first one). The bill?? Over $6,000. Joy. Well, I suppose it was worth it, to make that thing go away.

Speaking of her games, well...they haven't won yet. Five more games to go and they have not won a single game. The good news is that they really could care less. Good thing. She has been playing well, that is good too, and she looks forward to playing next year. Cool.

Memorial Day was yesterday. We went to Stones River National Cemetery. Then had a picnic at Henry Horton State Park. Then on to a small Confederate Cemetery near Shelbyville. It was nice. Very interesting also, was the "Hallowed Ground" tour of Stones River we took on Saturday night. Very, very interesting. Walking around to different reenactors in the dark, listening to stories about the soldiers buried there. Very sad too. We also went this weekend and looked for more Confederate soldiers at Evergreen. Found a few, but its a big cemetery. We will look more later the summer.

Speaking of summer, that's right, no school. So she is home now and we will do stuff all summer to keep her busy. Lucky for me she doesn't mind hitting the cemeteries, as long as we hit a few playgrounds too. Smart kid.

Hope to get back on my [almost] everyday writing now-as long as we are home to do it.

One more thing-hubby taking a new job. Whew am I nervous. At least he has weekends off now and that ROCKS! :)
