Friday

Tried to go out and get this cache today, because it is new and at one of my favorite places in Smyrna. But there were lots of people, doing some "digging" and we just couldn't go for it.

Now I have to go get ready to set up at the flea market. Hope we make lots of money!!

Hungry.

Geocaching

Ok-I admit it-I am back addicted to Geocaching!!! Groundspeak : Profile for User: graveyard mom
I had tried to stay away from the website, and had done so successfully since January. I had other things to do. More important things. But we went to the library just over a week ago now, and they were doing a presentation on geocaching. Since I was the only other person there who knew what it was(other than the presenters-some very nice and well presented 4Hers!), I spent some time explaining more about the website and how fun it is to many other moms as the kids ran around outside chasing some fake caches. And I realized how much I missed it. Yes I did. So I went home and logged on. And saw all the new ones in my area. And grabbed the GPSr and took off. And now, a week or so later, it's all I can think of. We have actually done some other cool stuff, which I will discuss, but I wanna talk Geocaching now. We went downtown to see the Predators Draft Party. And after that was over, we had to hit some caches and benchmarks in downtown(and well, it's been way over a year since we've even BEEN downtown!). I am planning future trips around cemeteries still, but they will now include caches and benchmarks. I only wish I had gotten back in before our trip to Mississippi and New Orleans, because I think I missed out on some good ones, even just some virtuals. Ugh. So anyway....

THE NHL Yes it's back and yes I am happy. We are still pretty broke and don't think we will get to too many games. Driving all the way to Nashville, spending $10 on parking, at least $45 on tickets, and then food, etc-well we just can't do it too often. I am happy to be able to see games on tv though. We went to the draft party at the GEC(heck it was free, free tshirt and free food-can't beat that). And now all the signings(althought the Preds haven't signed anyone), Forsberg to Philly, Amonte to uh?where was it? etc etc. It should be fun figuring out who is where during the first few weeks of the season. I look forward to it. And as long as the Wings SUCK, I'll be happy! And the Blues too.

Other things-we drove around last Sunday looking for cemeteries in the southern part of Rutherford County, found a few, found some caches. We spent alot of time the past few weeks going to the library, and the kid just LOVES those people. Ms Debbie and Ms Donna are the sweetest people that ever worked a library, and maybe some of the nicest people we know! Now the summer reading is over. And it's almost time for school. Thursday the 11th, I can't wait!!

well, I should go now, the kid just asked if we could go caching. How can I say "no"?? ;)
