Hump day

Wednesday already?

Well, the lymph problem has yet to really go away. She has an appointment with her real doctor tomorrow. Hopefully they will do something a little more proactve, as I hate hate hate seeing her neck look like it does. I also want her to get better so that she can play Saturday in her first game. She got her first uniform yesterday. She got #6 (cos she is six years old-I suppose next year she will want #7). I always got #1 when I was a kid, because it was the smallest jersey, and I was always the smallest kid on the team. Anyways...

Ya know I'm not normally into something such as "American Idol", but I do think that Anthony Fedorov kid is a cutie! I still wonder if he is any relation to Sergei!! HA!

Wandered around Evergreen Cemetery in Murfreesboro this morning. Found some interesting people, not who I was looking for-but then the mower guys were out in full force and there was a tree-cutting crew taking down a huge one in the exact section I needed to search. Next time... Also stopped by the Burrus Cemetery on Asbury Ln, nobody was home again(although it's not like *I* am gonna knock on someone's door-that is DH's job!). I got a far-off shot of it though.

I also got a cushy cover for my bike seat. Now I can really get to riding it and not worry about my behind hurting for days afterward.

No new "Lost" tonight. No new "Mythbusters". New "CSI New York". New "South Park". Cool. Oh and....HAPPY DANCE that those annoying guys are gone from "Amazing Race"! Now my Rob and Amber can race in peace!! Truly for a change I'd be happy with any of the Final Four teams winning! Yahoo!

What a week

Let's just say it's been busy. Well, ok, I'll say more than that. Until the pizza arrives, then I am out of here again.

I'll go backwards(kind of like CSI this week). Just home from the ER and the kid has Cervical Lymphadenitis. Swelling of her right neck lymph node. It's nasty looking, but she isn't in pain. I pray it goes away soon though. Poor baby. She had her first practice softball game last night and did alright. She is still learning, and so are the other 20 girls who were there.

Spent Thursday checking out some cemeteries down near Fosterville. Some nice ones. But I have had NO time to do anything with the photos or info. I am so so so behind in everything right now.

We planted a tree in our front yard. It is a Yoshino Cherry, just like the ones in DC that bloom in the spring. I can't wait to see it bloom. It is already about 8 ft high, and should get up to 30ft. Did a little more yardwork as well, but I really need to get the tomatoes into bigger containers. And maybe plant the sunflowers as well.

I can't really recall the rest of the week right now. Worried about her neck. And hungry-pizza should be here soon.

Island hopping

Well, Lost totally rocked last night. I was sad to see Boone die, but better than Charlie or Sawyer. And the babby was adorable-although I kept expecting a zoom in to the "666" on its head(or something just as weird).

Tonight is Survivor. And it looks like Ian makes it through another night(according to spoilers). Ian and Tom-I don't think I have ever like a pair of Survivors more than this. Of course, Boston Rob is still by far and away the greatest reality contestant evah!

Repeats on CSI and WaT tonight, but Mikey Waltrip's poker tourney is on Speed at 8pm, so that's cool.

No graving today, too much rain-maybe tomorrow. Spent most of the day reading the TWoP forums about Lost! Boy that is a busy place! And didn't do much else today. Whee. Well, ok I mopped about 2 square feet of the kitchen. Then my arm started hurting again. I am a wuss sometimes. And if pain will get me out of cleaning, by golly Ima doin it!

Rainy day

Why do I want to do nothing on rainy days?? I did some housework, but I just don't feel like doing anything else but sitting here. At least my arm feels better. I have so much to catch up on with Find a Grave and my website, but I just ain't motivated right now. Maybe later.

Amazing Race was ok last night, I am glad Rob and A* came in first. I lurve Rob. The brothers were funny-wish some others had been ousted instead. Tonight is Lost. Can't WAIT!

I hurt my rt arm somehow playing softball. So now I am pretty much left-handed only on this. Crapola. Think I pulled a muscle or something worse but it hurts like hell.

Spring break over

Well, thank goodness it's over. I finally have the house back to my lonesome again. And I actually feel like doing some housework again. Well-a little anyway. And I can go somewhere if I want. And then I realize that summer vacation is only about 6 weeks away.

And then I get online this morning and find out that all the hard work I did on Saturday on Find A Grave was for naught, as they had a server problem and everything added Saturday was lost. Damnit! I added over 200 photos and who knows how many names. Damn. Shoulda worked on my website instead, but who knew?? Most likely WILL work on MY site until I know that one is A-ok.

Deadwood rocked last night. But it usually does. I love Doc. I love Brad Dourif. sigh.

Hubby brought me the new TV Guide yesterday, with Josh Holloway (Lost) on the cover. He tells me I can have it on one condition-I tear off the cover and throw it away. HA! And then he hands me one with this big-ass sticker right in the middle of Josh's chest. So while at Wally world this morning, I nabbed me a clean version. :)

Chattanooga

Suppose I should finally get around to talking about our trip to Chattanooga this past week. We left Tuesday around noon. Only problem, hubby finishes packing the bag and then LEAVES it on the bed. And when do we notice? When we check into the motel and it ain't there. Ugh. And they never tell you about the construction going on around the motel, so it took us a bit of extra time getting to it. We finally checked in around 3:30pm local time.

Across the road was the Silverdale Confederate Cemetery, so we went to take a look at that. Very interesting. Mostly 155 unknown soldiers who died from disease. Sad that they are unknown.

We took off for downtown and the aquarium. Ate a nasty-and-cost-too-much burger at the little place next to the Aquarium. Then on to the tour. It was pretty good, as usual. I still get so irritated by morons who act like there are no other people there but them-hogging the cool stuff(piranhas) or stepping in front of photos. Why are so many people idiots when they are in public??

After that we headed for the Confederate Cemetery in downtown, but damnit it was locked up, and so was the really old Citizens Cemetery next to it. Damn. So we made our way to the National Cemetery. Beautiful place there. Saw the Andrews Raiders memorial-that is a very cool monument. Took a few photos there as the sun went down. And then headed back to the motel(after stopping by a WallyWorld to get some supplies-since ours were at HOME). Ordered a pizza, and watched American Idol and Amazing Race. I LOVE how my kid HATES most of the music they sing. She loved "Independence day" by Carrie, but the rest-she kept hitting the mute button!

Next morning, breakfast (of Champions) at Mickey D's. And up to See Rock City. Well, it wasn't open yet, so we drove over to see the top of the Railway Incline and the awesome view from there. Then back to Rock City. It was excellent of course, I hope the kid remembers it this time around. I wasn't as nervous as I was last time at the high spots. Maybe the "fear of heights" is going away...naah!

Then onto Point Park, Civil War park. Nice little park. Wish we had more time to explore. Moron kids kept following us everywhere! We could even hear them back down the path "I see them! There they are-hurry up!" Gads! WHY?? We finally lost them and then split for Ruby Falls.

Ruby Falls was just incredible!! Great tour guide(named Dan, by the way-he rocked!). Beautiful sites, and the waterfall at the end-there almost aren't words. Awesome is a good one. Highest inside waterfall east of the Mississipp? I think. If it is, and Fall Creek Falls is the highest "outside" one, then I have seen them both-and they are both awesome!!

I had really wanted to visit a couple of other cemeteries in the area, but hubby was really starting to feel bad, and so we went home. Good thing too I guess-cos he hit the ER when we got home and found out he has Strep Throat. Ick.

Anyway, great little trip, although many of my pix didn't turn out as good as I had hoped. And the 2 cemeteries I wanted to visit were closed. And we forgot our suitcase. And then there are the drivers on the interstate that I want to complain about...

WHY is it when you are headed up a hill, and the semi's are going 15 mph, and then one decides he wants to pass them all and so he pulls out RIGHT in front of you going 17mph! So you are stuck behind that moron for most of the way up the hill. Grrr. Or the people who come up behind you like crazy fast, get over, and then stop at your back side and don't pass. Then you come up on a slower vehicle and have to get off the cruise control because that idiot won't get past you. And then the ones you have to pass cos they are going too slow, and as soon as you pass them they suddenly remember the speed limit and decide to race you to get their "spot back"! I love driving, and I *RARELY* go over the speed limit, but I just hate the other idiots out there on the road who apparently FORGOT all of the rules in the rulebook after they got their license.

Ok, I feel better now.
